Beaver Run formation Clinic @ Indianapolis Metro airport April 29th thru May 1st.
JLFC and Redstar are sponsoring a formation training clinic at Indianapolis Metro Airport (KUMP) April 29 thru May 1st. Ground school for those who want to attend will be at 0900 Friday morning with formation flight training conducted Friday afternoon, all day Saturday and Sunday morning. Here is your chance to get your Wingman or Lead FAST card and a great way to start the summer flying season. Maybe we can get Sophia to attend.
Last year we had 25 airplanes in attendance including 10 Navions, a couple of which were SNAG members. We already have 6 Navions signed up for this years event.
The clinic will be held in Tom Wood Aviation's corporate hangar. We will have volunteer cooks running a smoker and a barbecue grill providing great meals (lunch and dinner) on site We also have one of the local beer distributors providing beer for debriefing after the final flight of the day. Last year was very enjoyable and a lot of formation flying and training was accomplished.
The local FBO has given us a clinic discount on fuel and is working on getting us a block of discounted rooms at the nearby Holiday Inn Express. Rental cars are available but won't be necessary.
